The Path of Least Resistance to Building a Peak Performance Team is easy to follow when you know where to look for it and what I do is based upon profiling the positions within a team and matching the profile and technical skills to the correct candidate. Each of the profiles is quite different and as part of the keynote/seminar I fully explain each of the profiles to all program participants so that they better understand their colleagues and themselves.
The real power of the profiling tool that I use is that when you receive your results, it essentially states “This is what you are good at…. and this is what you are not good at…… what you have to do now is focus on only those things that you are good at. With the correct team around you, you will excel. Furthermore, here are the profiles of the team members you need, you just have to go find them.”
The seminar greatly expands upon the keynote and provides pertinent information on the following points concerning each of the profiles:
- Tasks they enjoy.
- Ideal roles.
- The communication style they will use.
- The communication style they will best respond to.
- What frustrates them.
- Things they will not do well.
- Their optimum learning environment.
- The fact that each will lead differently and defining their style of leadership.
- Their preferred operating environment.
- Each will be most likely to ask 1 of four questions: What Who When How
